Barnsley offers a wide variety of attractions for all ages and tastes. 12% of the Borough of Barnsley lies within the Peak District National Park, the oldest established national park in Britain. Barnsley and the South Yorkshire area offer entertainment to suit all tastes. With a diverse selection of venues including multi-screen cinemas, renowned theatres and two major concert venues (Sheffield Hallam FM Arena and Sheffield City Hall) which regularly host international acts and events, there's something for everyone to enjoy.


SPORT AND LEISURE


Barnsley and the Yorkshire region are home to some of the world’s leading sporting and leisure venues. Football fanatics can watch Barnsley FC at Oakwell.
